How to Obtain Your Tabs in Person

To Renew, Replace or Obtain New Tabs in person, see below:

                                                                                                                   

When you come in to renew your tabs you will need at least:

 

  1. Your current Drivers License
  2. Your License plate number or VIN #
    (Which can be found on your Insurance Card)
  3. Cash or Personal Check*
    (We have an ATM MACHINE in our lobby for your convenience.)
    *Important: We can only accept a check drawn from the account of the registered owner.

    You may also be required to have:

  4. Emissions Test Certificate if required
    (This will be indicated on your renewal notice if it is necessary for your vehicle.)
  5. Although it is not required:  Please bring your renewal notice, Either your Green, Purple or Red reminder notice sent to you by the Department of Licensing, or your most current Registration. It will make the renewal process quicker.

Please be aware: We can only sell tabs to the Registered or Legal Owners of a vehicle. If you are coming in to purchase tabs for a friend, or a vehicle that is not in your name, we will require a note from the Registered or Legal owner of the vehicle authorizing you to do so and payment can only be made in cash or by a check from the registered owner to DOL.

 

LOST or STOLEN TABS/REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE

If your license tabs or registration certificate have been lost or stolen, they can easily be replaced by bringing in the following:

 

  1. Your current Driver's License
  2. The License plate or VIN number of the vehicle.
  3. Cash or Personal Check
    (Important: We can only accept a check drawn from the account of the registered owner.)
